What is included with a free short link?

Save up to 10 short links in your free account, copy them, and download QR codes. Folio Pro adds custom aliases, editable destinations, and up to 1,000 saved links.

Input
An HTTP or HTTPS website address, plus an optional title and Pro alias.
Output
A shareable short URL and optional PNG or SVG QR code.
Plans
QR downloads are free. Custom aliases, destination changes, and the larger saved-link allowance require Pro.
Link handling
URLs, titles, aliases, and creation dates are stored in your account. The public redirect does not require sign-in. QR images are generated in your browser.
Limits to know
Sign-in required. URLs up to 2,048 characters; aliases 3–48 letters, numbers, or hyphens. Up to 20 new links per minute, and 100 per day on Free or 1,000 on Pro. Deleted aliases remain reserved.

Free accounts can save 10 links. Pro includes 1,000 saved links, custom aliases, and destination changes that keep your short link and QR code working. Both plans include PNG and SVG QR downloads. Your list is private; shared links are public. Deleting a link disables its redirect and QR code. Aliases are permanent and cannot be reused after deletion.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in for free so your links are saved in My links and available across your devices.

What happens when my Pro plan ends?

Existing links and QR codes keep working, including custom aliases. You can rename or delete links. Creating links above the Free limit, choosing custom aliases, or changing destinations requires Pro.

Can I change a link after sharing it?

With Pro, edit its destination from My links. The short URL and QR code stay the same. Titles can be changed on either plan. Aliases cannot be changed.

Are links private or password protected?

Your dashboard list is private, but anyone with a short URL or QR code can open its destination. Do not use a short link to protect private content.
