Folio rewrites the document using compressed object streams. This can reduce overhead in some PDFs while keeping text and image resolution intact. Already optimized or image-heavy PDFs may not get smaller. If the result is larger, Folio tells you and keeps the original available.

How much smaller will my PDF be?

It depends on the original file. Structural optimization cannot guarantee a particular reduction. Image downsampling is not part of this tool.

Will the text stay searchable?
